Die Planung für die 7. DeafIT Konferenz am 18. & 19. März 2022 schreitet in großen Schritten voran! Zum zweiten Mal in Folge wird die DeafIT Konferenz wieder komplett virtuell stattfinden.
Die Corona-Pandemie ist nach wie vor ein nicht zu unterschätzender Faktor, der uns die Planung enorm erschwert. Nach einem Abwägen aller Vor- und Nachteile sowie der damit verbundenen Risiken haben wir uns schweren Herzens dazu entschieden, die Konferenz auch im nächsten Jahr nur digital via Live-Stream durchzuführen. Die Gesundheit und das Wohlbefinden aller Teilnehmenden hat bei uns eine sehr hohe Priorität, zumal die Hygiene-Regelungen nach wie vor das teilweise Tragen einer Maske vorsehen. Dies stellt für Menschen mit Hörbeeinträchtigung eine zusätzliche Barriere in der Kommunikation dar und gerade wir legen Wert darauf, eine „barrierearme Veranstaltung“ auszurichten.
Bei der letzten 6. DeafIT Konferenz im März 2021 konnten wir bereits beweisen, dass es online auch gut funktioniert. Die frühe Entscheidung gibt uns nun die Möglichkeit, unsere volle Konzentration auf die Online-Konferenz, unabhängig vom weiteren Verlauf der Pandemie, zu richten. Wir arbeiten im Hintergrund bereits auf Hochtouren und freuen uns, Euch bald weitere Informationen zur 7. DeafIT Konferenz mitteilen zu dürfen.

The 7th DeafIT Conference 2022 will take place online!
The planning for the 7th DeafIT Conference on March 18th & 19th in 2022 is progressing very fast! For the second time in a row, the DeafIT conference will once again take place completely virtual.
The corona pandemic is still a factor that should not be underestimated, which makes planning extremely difficult. After weighing up all the advantages and disadvantages as well as the associated risks, we have reluctantly decided to continue conducting the conference digitally via live stream next year. The health and well-being of all participants have a very high priority with us, especially since the hygiene regulations still provide for the partial wearing of a mask. This represents an additional barrier in communication for people with hearing impairments and is therefore in conflict with our values of organizing an „accessible event“.
At the last 6th DeafIT conference in March 2021, we were able to show that it also works well online. The early decision now allows us to focus our full attention on the online conference, regardless of the further course of the pandemic. We are already working at full speed in the background and will be informing you soon about the 7th DeafIT Conference.
